Your role.
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Working with a team, assess, optimize and advise on IT Infrastructure, IT operations and IT service delivery for external clients.
  • Define requirements, develop technical designs and requests for proposal for the implementation of new solutions including networks, server/storage/virtualization, video surveillance/access control, telecommunications and structured cabling.
  • Analyze proposals and assist clients in selecting the best solution, service or architecture based on their unique needs and goals.
  • Participate in examining IT infrastructure technologies and IT operations, perform expert gap analysis, provide recommendations based on findings and industry best practices, along with development and presentation of comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborate with other firm practice areas and provide subject matter expertise related to IT operations & infrastructure systems.
  • Work with clients to develop and evaluate cloud infrastructure architectures, migration strategies and cost modelling.
  • Assist clients in assessing needs, developing strategic sourcing models and procurement of IT managed services.
  • Participate directly in preparing and submitting proposals for generating new work, including scope definition, work plans and estimates of work effort.
  • Participate in prospective client interviews and presentations
  • Develop and grow a professional network through trade associations and industry groups to identify potential new clients and opportunities.

The qualifications.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Network Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Communications / IT Infrastructure or related field is required.
  • 5-7 years of recent or current technology experience is required; consulting experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in a variety of industries including public sector/government, K-12 education and higher education is desired.
  • Strong interest in IT infrastructure technologies (including cloud-based services) and willingness to learn; research emerging technologies and participate in development of thought leadership materials.
  • Proficiency in data enterprise technologies is required. Working knowledge of the following technical areas is desired: data/reporting/integration, public address/mass notification, video surveillance, physical security/access control, telephony/voice, unified communications, telecommunications/carrier services, cybersecurity and network Infrastructure (LAN/WAN)
  • Strong communication, both verbal and business writing skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to a diverse audience ranging from technical professionals to C-level executives/leaders.
  • Strong written communication skills including the ability to distill complex technical concepts into impactful observations, as well as author detailed reports and summary presentations.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with direct experience in business development activities including project scope definition, work plans and proposals.
  • Ability to efficiently multitask amongst multiple client projects and practice activity needs.
  • Project management competencies with the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Ability to develop and grow internal relationships with colleagues both in person as well as in a remote setting.
  • Ability to travel to clients and Plante Moran offices as necessary (currently 20-30% overnight travel). Opportunity for client travel will scale with assignments.

Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) Information

Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience and is provided in accordance with the CO Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO. Please review position location for applicable geographic location.

Colorado monthly base range is as follows:

$10083.33 to $13833.33
We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a balance fund, 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.
